Based in East Sussex, the Buxted Players are an amateur dramatics group that welcomes people of all ages from all walks of life.
Working Together
It takes a village to put on a successful production, and that's what makes amateur dramatics so interesting and challenging.
As well as performers on stage, there are numerous backstage and front of house (FOH) roles.
Lighting design, stage hands, props management, costume design, hair and make-up, and more, the list goes on.
FOH roles include greeting people at the door, directing them to their seats, and serving drinks.
Plus non-production help is always needed to ensure the outreach and governance of the Buxted Players is on point.
There really is something for everyone. All you need is the desire to be part of the amateur dramatics world. No experience necessary.
Membership Options
Active Member £15.00 per year
Patron £10.00 per year
Active members are able to act on stage, take a crew or front-of-house (FOH) role, and stand for a committee position.
Being active is the clue in the name. But we understand this is not for everyone; some people want to come along and support. This is why we welcome Patrons.
Patrons enjoy priority booking, their name in our latest production programme, a complimentary glass of wine at each production and early invites to our social events.

You can audition for stage, crew, or FOH, without becoming an active member, but if successful, you would need to join.
