In the early 1990’s when my two children were 7 or 8 I started taking them to the Buxted Players pantomines. We enjoyed them so much they wanted to be part of the next one.

I absolutely loved it and for the next 10 years I took part in all the pantos and Old Thyme Music Hall productions. We laughed so much – it was one of the best times in my life.

Janet Lockyear, Director, held an open evening, and my children were accepted, along with many other children from Buxted, for the Junior players and somehow I got enrolled in the Ladies Chorus! I had never had any thoughts of ‘going on the stage’, let alone singing and dancing.
